UPWALTHAM BARNS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | BARN WEDDING | WEST SUSSEX WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Nick and Jen had the most beautiful day at Upwaltham Barns in West Sussex. I arrived with Jen as she was having her hair put into tight curls, with a “Bride” bracelet on and a cup of tea in her hand the morning was very relaxed and chilled. She had her mum with her having her make up done and dad downstairs reading the newpaper in the cottage. As her curls were released she had her make up applied and when her wedding party arrived the atmosphere became super excited! Nick arrived with his family and Greg was photographing them as they got ready and began to greet their guests. There was lavender sprinkled all over the courtyard. Jen looked like a 40’s movie star with her beautiful hair in soft curls and she wore a beautiful strapless lace wedding dress. As Jen walked through the beautiful gardens ready to get married to her man, Nick was in the barn eagerly awaiting her arrival. I have to say Jen’s entrance and Nick’s reaction was simply breathtaking… Possibly one of my favourite… but shhhhhh. She joined him at the front of the ceremony barn both with eyes filled with happy tears. They had a wonderful civil ceremony where they read their own promises to each other, had a reading and one of their friend also sang. It was perfect! Everyone made their way out of the barn to line up along the courtyard with hands full of confetti which they then covered the new Mr & Mrs in as they made their way through the crowd. Whilst their guest enjoyed a drink and some canapés we headed off to do all of their family photos and then off of some couple portraits out the front of Upwaltham Barns. They then greeted all of their guests in a receiving line before sitting down to enjoy their three course wedding breakfast. They had 3 lots of speeches plus a special one from Jen. I always love listening and capturing the speeches because it tends to be the only time in someones life where they stand up and talk freely and openly about their feelings for the people around them and this wedding didn’t disappoint! Nick and Jen had seen photos from the hill that goes up behind Upwaltham Barns and really wanted some photos of the two of them up there so we headed up there after their speeches to get some more portraits of these Newly Weds and they also got to enjoy a bit of time for themselves… to soak up everything that had happened so far… AND prepare for what was to be an EPIC first dance! Thank you sooooo much Nick and Jen for having us both with you to capture your AMAZING wedding day! We loved every minute!!! Here are your photos! xxx
