Steve and Amy got married on the May Bank Holiday weekend at Audleys Wood Hotel in Hampshire, it was a beautiful setting for their special day. I remember when I first met Amy, she told me that her wedding was going to be full of colour and that they were making the bridesmaids dresses themselves. After having such a great time on their Engagement Session in the snow with them, I was really looking forward to photographing their wedding. The whole day just went by so perfect for them, and I can honestly say there was so much love for these two people. The bit of the day that summed it all up for me was after the speeches, the best man had just given this wonderful, kind account of his amazing friend, Steve. The Speaches had finished, there were lots of hugs all around and, Without realising, Amy walked past me, wiping the tears from her eyes and said, “I am so, so lucky.” I want to say a massive Thank you to Steve and Amy for allowing me to be a part of your Wedding Day… I know you have had a few sneek previews of your photos… but here’s a few more

When Natalie first contacted me about being the Wedding Photographer for their wedding I was very excited as they are getting married in a Venue I had just finished a bridal shoot at, the beautiful Bartholomew Barns. They aren’t getting married until next year but we decided to meet up for the first time for their Engagement Session at Worth Matravers, Dorset. Like all my couples, I asked them to think about locations for their Engagement session, and it is always so lovely when they choose a place that has some meaning to them as a couple. Worth Matravers is their special place and we couldn’t have chosen a better day as we had the whole place to ourselves with beautiful sunshine! We had a lot of fun, walking talking and getting so many awesome photos! Guys, I hope you love them and without me waffleing on (which I really could!) here they are! Cannot WAIT for your wedding next year

50 years ago to the day Cesca’s grandparents got married on a snowy day at the end of March… Cesca woke up on the day of her wedding looking out the window at snowfall. It snowed the whole day and by the evening everywhere was covered in a thick layer of snow. It made for such pretty photos and Dayvid and Cesca were absolutely amazing, and I they you could tell every second that they were so happy. It was so wonderful to be able to share their day with them and I hope they love their photos as much as I enjoyed their day

We planned their Engagement Session to get them comfortable infront of my camera and me, just two days before their wedding. We had a great time walking around Smithills Hall in Bolton, amongst the beautiful autumn leaves… crazy considering we are in March! Naomi Neoh Bridal Shoot ❤ Bartholomew Barns ❤ West Sussex

After a couple of months of serious planning, my dream bridal shoot become reality, we had the gorgeous wedding venue Bartholomew Barns in West Sussex as our background and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue, lots of woodland and beautiful different settings to work with. On the day we also had a massive variety of weather, It was pretty cold but we had sunshine and snow all on the same day. I worked with a small group of amazing ladies who all work in the wedding industry and came up with the amazing bridal inspiration photoshoot. We were so lucky to feature Naomi Neoh‘s “Love Letter” Designer Wedding Dresses and oh my gosh they were simply stunning, lots of lace and beaded details – they were just perfect. Last year I did a wedding at Upwaltham Barns for Phil & Sophies Wedding and a lady called Kerry Pullen from Rose Cottage Flowers did the flowers for their big day. They were absolutely stunning so as soon I started organising this shoot I contacted her to see whether she would be interested in working with me again. Well she went above and beyond and made the most beautiful collection of wedding bouquets and floral head bands. I couldn’t have ask more from her and they really did make the shoot what it is! The lovely Claire Wallace and Katherine Priest joined us for hair and make up and they both absolutely worked their magic to produce not 1 but 5 different looks. Lucia, our lovely model was just perfect, she had never modelled before and this is exactly what I wanted. I want to reassure brides-to-be that being infront of my camera is a great experience to enjoy and something that you relax into (quite quickly!) and Lucia did exactly that! We had such an amazing day together and I really can’t thank everyone involved enough for making this shoot possible, hope to work with you all again now for the photos!

After going to the Photography Farm and meeting loads of new people who all have friends in the industry I realised it’s a very lonely job unless you put yourself out there! Hayley found me through the Photography Farm Post and turns out we live about 10 minutes from each other… so we decided to meet up. We had lots of coffee, spoke about the industry and our businesses and then decided to go for a shoot in the forrest. I had a great time and it was awesome to meet another wedding photographer. Meet Martin and Penny. They have been married for nearly a year and were our models for the masterclass at the Photography Farm with Brooke Davis. They were absolutely fantastic and I am so happy with the photos I snapped of them both on the course, they are such a sweet couple who love to cuddle and it was such a pleasure to photograph them both!

This was my first time at Lisa Devlin’s Photography Farm. On the Wednesday I attended Mellisa Love‘s talk – Designing you into your Business She was brilliant and I took home so much information to design my website and blog the way I want. Even being given confirmation that I am on the right path was a huge help to me. Also, to sit there and listen to her talk to Shell (Shell de Mar Photography) & Lisa (Devlin Photos) about their websites, having followed them both for the past year, I really learnt alot and would HIGHLY recommend meetin or attending Melissa Love‘s classes about branding. It really was so inspirational.

I was also booked to attend Brooke Davis from Blush Photography‘s class on the friday which was for the full day and I got to experience alot more of what Photography Farm has to offer. The Farm is tucked away on the Surrey – Sussex Border and was a super inspirational place to be. Originally being used as recording studios were Queen, Wet Wet Wet and Oasis recorded albums, now is used for workshops and weddings. It is such a cute, quaint little farm and with the snow it looked super beautiful. On the Photography Farm Week the Farm House was full of like minded creative photographers all exchanging notes and there to discover the next step in their photography journey and I was certainly no different. Mixing with some of the best in the business was a huge eye opener for me, such lovely people with huge talents there for me to learn from. I was literally like a sponge!

Ok, so a little side story – about 4 years ago when my photography journey began I followed a hand full of american photographers and one of these photographers was a lady called Brooke Davis based in Utah. I followed her blog and loved her style. Then I moved to Japan for a year and left my computer behind (and all my bookmarked sites) and unfortunately I lost touch with her blog. In September of last year Kat from Rock n Roll Bride posted a stylised shoot “The Non Wedding” – It is well worth a look if you haven’t seen it! Very, very inspirational. Me, like many others, began following Blush Photography and it was only when Lisa Devlin annouced that Brooke Davis was going to be taking a masterclass on the Photography Farm that I realised it was the same Brooke that I had follow all those years ago. She is a very different photographer from the lady I followed all those years ago, she is incredible and portrays raw emotion in every photo she takes. It was an absolute priveldge to be in the same room as her and listen to her “waffle on” as she kept saying. I could listen to anyone with a creative mind like her waffle on about photography for … er… forever?

There were 4 of us lucky enough to attend Brooke’s Friday workshop. We spoke about every aspect of photography as a business from speaking to your clients to photographing them and making them feel completely at ease in front of the camera. Her techniques were incredible and I had so many “lightbulb” moments where thing just started clicking in my head. Before lunch we headed outside to take portraits of each other, it was only a 5 minute exercise but straight after that Brooke took photos of all of us. We got to see how she works for portraits and oh my she has an imagination… It gave me the “go ahead” to just do what my creative mind is telling me without a question. We had a delicious lunch prepared for us by the chef’s of Ridge Farm which was great fuel before we headed out again on our couple shoot!

Martin & Penny (who are also a wedding photography couple) were the couple for our shoot and the amazing Elbie did Penny’s awesome hair and make up. Here are some photos from behind the scenes of the day. I cannot express how much I have learnt and if you get the chance to take a class with Brooke just do it! Photography Farm I will be back! I felt very strongly that I wanted to be part of the friendship groups people had formed there and wished I could have stayed for the other courses over the weekend, relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening and talking photography to a load of other awesome people who love photography as much as I do.

Thank you so much to Lisa Devlin for putting all of this together! It really was an incredible experience and so lovely to have met you!

I really hope to see you all again at somepoint and if we meet at The Photography Farm – even better

I met with Amy at the end of last year, unfortunately Steve was away in France working so this Engagement shoot was our first meeting. Amy told me all about their beautiful colourful wedding, to beheld at Audleys Wood Hotel in Basingstoke in May. She also told me they planned to go to Iceland for their honeymoon, we spoke several times between our first meeting and the engagement session and we wanted to wait for the “perfect” weather. We had spoke about possibly a sunrise, frosty morning shoot rather than a sunny spring session. As soon as I saw that the weather forecast was telling us to expect snow I messaged Amy and Steve to find out whether it was possible to have their engagement shoot this weekend. I am happy to say they were excited as I was at the thought of having beautiful, white, snowy engagement photos and they took a couple hours out of their Saturday afternoon to meet with me in Brockenhurst, New Forrest. These guys are seriously the cutest, and I really can’t wait for their wedding in a few months time

It was so nice to concentrate on a personal shoot close to my heart. Margaret has been my best friend for absolutely ages, we have know each other since we were 12 years old at school. She has always been the most hard working person I know and last year she finished her 5 year long course at Medical School in Ireland. We try to see each other at least once a year… broken up by alot of skype calls! We had a lot of fun and on this day we woke up and I became the photographer/hair stylish/make up artist, hehe. Doesn’t she look gorgeous! I had so much fun and couldn’t be happier with this session!
