Ok… Be prepared for the longest post EVER! So this was my first wedding by myself and MAN did I love it!?! Up until now, being a wedding photographer had been amazing… but being in control and being able to do my own thing and have the “creative license” was… erm… Awesome!

Gabby and Ian are two of the nicest people I have ever met, they are warm, friendly and super happy people. I just loved being around them and getting to record their special day!  Lucky for me they live about a 2 minute walk from my house, so in the morning I popped round to join in the fun of Gabby getting ready. Everyone was so happy and totally excited it was a dream to take photos! Gabby’s daughter Maja looked just beautiful in her little bridesmaid dress. There were a few tears when the zip broke off the back of the wedding dress but her new sisters-in-law were there at the ready to wipe away the tears and SEW her into that dress! They got married in the local Hamble Church and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect! On an early November day there was hardly a cloud in the sky, the sun was shining brightly and everything had a beautiful warm glow to it. I was lucky enough to join Gabby, Ian and Maja in the wedding car as they had their first private moments of finally being a family… there was aLOT of love in that car, which was so special for me to be there. The car drove us to the local playing field where there was a helicopter waiting to take them to the hotel… what an awesome get away that was! The reception was held at Marwell Hotel and the room was decorate with a beautiful deep orange flowers and candles. From then on the day seemed to be over in the blink of an eye. Everyone had an amazing time with delicious food, awesome music and lots and lots (AND LOTS) of champagne. Everyone could see how in love Gabby and Ian are and it was pretty damn cool that I was the one who got to take the photos! Cheers Gabby and Ian – here’s to a long friendship 😀

Don’t forget to leave them ❤ LOTS OF LOVE ❤ at the bottom of the post!!!
